Worship is led by the Pastor, members of the congregation, and a range of stimulating speakers from other Unitarian congregations and different spiritual traditions.

Our pastor is the Reverend Roger Tarbuck - educated at Manchester College Oxford, he has been Minister and Pastor of the Newcastle upon Tyne Unitarian Church for over twenty years.

Other activities

We have a monthly newsletter informing you of our activities and events.

Women's League

The Women's League meets on the second Monday of every month, at 2:00 pm. Invited speakers provide an interesting programme of talks, which during 2003 will include:

  • Mr Alex McKie - 617 (Dambusters) Squadron and the Tirpitz
  • Prof John Derry - Man on the Monument
  • Mr Alan Morgan - Cemeteries of Newcastle
  • Mr George Stephenson - All the World's a Stage
  • Dr Eileen Bowler - East African Safari
  • Flower demonstration - Mr Andrew Grisewood - My Box of Delights
  • Mr Ted Shearer - Building of the Tyne Bridge

There is also an annual outing, a Strawberry Tea in the summer, and a Christmas party.

All meetings take place in the Turner Hall, Ellison Place, unless otherwise stated.

You are sure of a warm welcome at the Women's League!

Badminton Club

The badminton club meets each Tuesday evening (from September to May). Play commences at 7:00 pm!
