Welcoming Bob Janis-Dillon to the GA team

8 December 2020

We are delighted to welcome Rev Bob Janis-Dillon to the General Assembly staff team this week, in the role of Congregational Connections Lead.

Bob will be connecting with individuals and congregations across our movement to help share knowledge and experience, so that more people can benefit from the good practices and innovations that have been developed locally.

We hope that this new role will help people to avoid reinventing the wheel when there are others elsewhere who they can learn from, and that local leaders will be inspired to adapt ideas from other areas to suit their community. Bob will be helping to make these connections and make it easy for these stories and case studies to be shared.

This year of coronavirus has meant that all congregations have had to think differently about what they do and how they do it, and Bob will help us harvest that knowledge, for these times of pandemic and beyond.  We know that our movement is full of great expertise and experience, and in this role, Bob will help us to connect and share this as we grow into the future.

Hello everyone,

I am humbled and honoured by this opportunity to serve. This is such an important time for our spiritual movement, and for our world. I’m already aware that there are many wonderful things happening at our diverse congregations, and I am looking forward to learning more about these developments, and to helping our communities and individuals succeed.

I look forward to getting to know you – or reconnecting, if our paths have already crossed. Please feel free to drop me a line. Thank you to the General Assembly and our congregations for this opportunity, and here’s to sustaining our connections and growing our faith.

Gratefully,

Bob Janis-Dillon
Congregational Connections Lead
